David Charney Owner, Principal

David E. Charney is an attorney, real estate developer, and owner of a local home building company.  David is co-owner and Managing Partner of Owasso Land Trust, L.L.C., and its sister entities (collectively, “OLT”), a real estate development company with investment activity throughout the Tulsa metro area.  David is also the owner of Capital Homes Residential Group, L.L.C., which is consistently one of the Tulsa area’s largest home construction companies, having built and sold over 1,500 homes throughout the Tulsa metro area. David has also led the efforts to redevelop various underserved, impoverished neighborhoods in Tulsa’s urban core, often partnering with local philanthropy, the Tulsa Development Authority, the City of Tulsa, and the University of Tulsa in these efforts. David’s deep roots in the community, coupled with his blend of experience in law, real estate, and banking, allow him to bring a rather unique background to transactions that often enable projects to move forward with momentum and creativity.

David has been called upon by state and local leaders to help lead economic development efforts to attract manufacturing facilities, fulfillment centers, and other large regional/national companies to the Tulsa metro area. His expertise in connecting public and private entities in order to create collaborative relationships has helped persuade companies like Amazon, Macy’s, Quik Trip, and Milo’s Tea to locate here and to build new, state-of-the-art facilities in the Tulsa region on land owned or managed by David.

For over thirty years, David has been consistently engaged in community activities. David is involved in several civic organizations in the Tulsa area and currently serves on the Owasso Economic Development Authority. He is Chairman of the Tulsa County Board of Adjustment, having been appointed by the Board of County Commissioners to help adjudicate various zoning and land-planning issues. David is a past president of Congregation B’nai Emunah and currently serves on its Executive Committee and its Foundation Board. David also serves on the Board of Directors of RCB Bank Holding Company, an Oklahoma Banking corporation with $3.5 billion in assets and over 40 branches throughout Oklahoma and Kansas. David is on the Board of Directors of Sherwood Construction Company, a multi-state civil construction firm with an emphasis on large highway projects and all aspects of heavy earthmoving and underground utility installation. He is on the Board of Directors for the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice and also serves on the Board of the Zarrow Pointe Retirement and Health Care Center. David is currently representing District 4 as a Member of the Tulsa Technology Center’s School Board and serves on its Executive Committee.

David attended the University of Oklahoma where he received his undergraduate business degree and his law degree. Upon graduating from law school, David spent one year furthering his studies in Israel before returning to Oklahoma to begin his career in law.

After practicing real-estate law with his dad for many years, David shifted his focus to real estate investment and land development and now spends all of his professional time focused upon his various real estate activities.

David and his wife, Randee, live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  They have three grown children.
