David Charney

Owner, Principal

David E. Charney is an attorney, real estate developer, and owner of a local home building company.  David is co-owner and Managing Partner of Owasso Land Trust, L.L.C., and its sister entities (collectively, “OLT”), a real estate development company with investment activity throughout the Tulsa metro area.  David is also the owner of Capital Homes Residential Group, L.L.C., which is consistently one of the Tulsa area’s largest home construction companies, having built and sold over 1,500 homes throughout the Tulsa metro area. David has also led the efforts to redevelop various underserved neighborhoods in Tulsa’s urban core, often partnering with local philanthropy, the Tulsa Development Authority, the City of Tulsa, and the University of Tulsa in these efforts. David’s deep roots in the community, coupled with his blend of experience in law, real estate, and banking, allow him to bring a rather unique background to transactions that often enable projects to move forward with momentum and creativity.

 

Ross Heyman

Chief of Staff, Associate Principal

Ross joined Capital Homes in 2011 and serves as chief of staff for both Charney Properties and Capital Homes. In this role, Ross facilitates key activities for the Capital Homes Executive Team and the Charney Properties investment and development team. Ross works to advance strategic initiatives, including affordable and workforce housing, infill development, and public-private partnerships. He also oversees asset management for the company’s growing investment portfolio. Since 2017, he’s led the growth of Charney Properties’ in-house management business Tallgrass Management Group. 

Originally from Chicago, Ross moved to Tulsa with Teach For America and taught third grade at McClure Elementary. Ross graduated with a B.A. in business and economics from the University of Puget Sound in 2009, then received an MBA from the University of Tulsa in 2015. Ross is a member of Congregation B’nai Emunah and serves on its board and Executive Committee. He also serves on the boards of Zarrow Pointe Retirement Center, Tulsa Tomorrow, and the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice. He’s passionate about Tulsa, affordable housing, and education reform.

 

Brian Beam

Director of Development, Associate Principal

Brian Beam is the Director of Development for Capital Homes and Charney Properties. He is responsible for acquisition, disposition and development-related services of land and properties for Charney Properties and related companies. In addition, he continues to broker lease and sale transactions for Owasso Land Trust under OLT Management and OLT Realty.

Brian joined Owasso Land Trust in February 2012, as a graduate from Oral Roberts University with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration in 2007, after which he entered directly into commercial real estate where he spent five years in the brokerage community with Bauer and Associates, Inc. and completed numerous sales and leasing transactions on Industrial, Office, Retail, Land and Investment properties. Having lived in Fort Smith, Arkansas before moving to Tulsa in 2003, he is very familiar with the local real estate markets in Northeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. In January of 2018 Brian began splitting his time between Capital Homes, Charney Properties, and Owasso Land Trust with a focus on land development and related services. Brian is a CCIM and a long-standing member of NAIOP and ICSC. Brian serves as an Elder & Trustee of City Church, where he and his wife Kara are very involved. At home, they are raising three young children - Rhett, Brady & Genevieve.

Carly Weinreb Finer

Development Manager

Carly joined the team as the development manager for Charney Properties in the summer of 2019. She handles the financial analysis, project management, and asset management of our ground-up and redevelopment work. Additionally, Carly supports our property management group through the construction and lease-up process.

Prior to moving to Tulsa, Carly worked in investment sales in New York City for Cushman and Wakefield & Avison Young. While originally from Dallas, she received her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and earned a master’s in Real Estate Development at Columbia University. Carly and her husband, AJ, spend much of their free time traveling with friends and family and keeping up with their dog, Sully.

 

Sally Moseby

Project Manager

Sally began her career working with David Charney 25 years ago as a Legal Assistant specializing in real estate. Her responsibilities expanded as David’s business interests transformed from practicing law into real estate development, investments, and new home construction and renovation. Sally assists in facilitating all aspects of real estate acquisition, development, financing, sales as well as being Executive Assistant to David.  Over the last 25 years, her handprints have been on just about every project by Charney Properties, Capital Homes, and Owasso Land Trust.

Sally and her husband grew up in Tulsa. She is proud of her two grown sons, their amazing wives, and her four bright and energetic grandchildren, who keep her very occupied in her spare time.

Nick Goodale

Accountant, Operations Manager

Nick joined Capital Homes in 2016 as an Accountant and currently serves as Operations Manager for Tallgrass Management Group, an in-house property management entity, and Accountant for Charney Properties.  Nick has been a vital contributor in establishing Tallgrass Management infrastructure, software, and process development; along with supporting Charney Properties accounting needs.

Nick is originally from the Tulsa area and graduated from Northeastern State University with a B.A in Finance. Before Capital Homes, Nick worked for State Farm Insurance as a Casualty Loss Adjuster.  Nick has a wife, two boys, and enjoys spending his time in the outdoors.
